Video Grows Business? Yep.

Let’s take a big step back and think about one thing:  lead generation, or gen, if you will.

Lead gen is the single most important part of any marketing effort. Without leads, there is no one to sell to, which equals zero sales, zero monies and zero work. Generating leads is the goal of marketing and the result of effective campaigns.

Video is one of the most effective methods at generating leads for businesses, regardless of the industry. Here’s why:

Video “Goes Viral”
While not every video will “go viral,” this is a very important factor to note. Riddle me this:  what other marketing medium can be infinitely duplicated…. for free? The answer is none. Video is literally the only creative content marketing tool that can be recreated again and again while being distributed freely through blogs, social media and the like.

One of the best examples in recent memory is Dollar Shave Club. Within it’s first 48 hours of posting a video, there were 14 million views and over 12,000 orders placed. The best part? The video only cost a few thousand to make. That’s what we call great client acquisition cost.

Putting a Face To Your Business
People don’t do business with businesses, they do business with people. Personal relationships are business and, unfortunately, are also the primary aspect lacking in most marketing campaigns.

Video provides a unique opportunity to open up a face-to-face dialogue with your clients, contractors, and employees. The ability to literally see who you are working with and hear their voice is the beginning of developing a personal relationship… and a customer.

Want to know something that almost works? Saying that your client liked working with you. Want to know something that really works? Showing your client saying they liked working with you.

Video testimonials are one of the most important and powerful things your business can produce. This goes back to “personalizing your products” — putting a face to a business, a product, and in this case an experience, is priceless!
